Tyax Heli Skiing Packages
The Whistler shopping is absolutely fantastic. This is definitely the place to max out the credit card, with awesome opportunities to shop at boutiques, ski and snowboard stores, specialty stores and souvenir shops galore. There are over 200 sensational shops at Whistler, which is more than enough to keep a shop-aholic very happy.

Unlike shopping at some other high profile ski resorts such as Park City, Aspen or Vail, Whistler shopping is much more eclectic and caters to a varied budget, which is somewhat reflective of the people that visit Whistler. You’ll only find a handful of fur shops, high end jewellery stores, or upmarket designer shops in Whistler.

Whistler Ski Shops & Snowboard Stores

Whistler Blackcomb would have to be up there as the ski resort with the highest concentration of ski and snowboard shops. If you are looking for a new snowboard or skis, new boots, or a spanking new snow outfit, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for at Whistler. Here are just a handful of Whistler ski shops.

The Salomon store in the Pan Pacific Lodge right at the base of Whistler Mountain sells a range of Salomon and Atomic skis, and a large range of ski boots. This is a super handy location for boot fitting because it’s easy to pop in to get any required adjustments, although you might have to pay a little more for this convenience.

One amazing Whistler ski shop is Can-Ski. They sell a good range of skis and ski boots, and best of all, you can try the skis at the demo centres outside the Rendezvous Lodge and Roundhouse Lodge. It’s free to test the skis, so this is a great place to try before you buy. Can-Ski also has lots of fancy ski threads, with brands such as Bogner, Descente, Kjus, Spyder, Arc’teryx, and a little Peak Performance. They also sell a raft of ski accessories and some really nice Whistler souvenir clothing.

Other upscale Whistler ski shops are the two Whistler Clothing Co stores. They don’t sell any hardwear, just a range of spiffy ski clothing from Kjus, Spyder and Descente, and all the POC helmets you could ever dream of.

Showcase Snowboards also have a demo center on mountain at Whistler and Blackcomb, so this is a great shop if you’re looking to buy a new snowboard.

Escape Route and Excess Backcountry are two Whistler ski shops that specialize in backcountry equipment such as touring skis, avalanche beacons, and backpacks.

For ski clothing that is beautiful and incredibly functional, check out the Peak Performance shop at Whistler (Town Plaza). This store is chocked full of great outerwear, inner layers, helmets and other Peak Performance accessories.

In case you lose an item of clothing whilst you’re up on the mountain, there are ski-osks at Roundhouse Lodge, Glacier Creek and Rendezvous Lodge, selling limited ski and snowboard accessories, and Whistler Blackcomb souvenirs.

Whistler Souvenirs

It seems that when you visit Whistler Blackcomb that it’s compulsory to buy a souvenir or piece of clothing with Whistler emblazoned across it. See if you can resist buying a Whistler souvenir. Bet you can’t!

There are countless Whistler shops selling souvenirs with everything you could imagine. There’s significant variety in the quality and price of the souvenirs, so there’s something for every budget.

Can-Ski and Roots sell high quality Whistler logo clothing. Whistler Smile Gift has lots of T-shirts with funny Whistler slogans, as well as an abundance of other souvenirs such as mugs, and key rings, and the Japanese girls that work there are very smiley!

49th Parallel is a budget oriented souvenir shop with lots of Whistler T-shirts, caps, hoodies, stickers, and other logo items. Cool as a Mouse is also good for those looking for inexpensive souvenirs. In addition to the usual souvenirs, they sell a bit of cheap jewellery.

General Shopping Whistler

The villages of Whistler also have lots of specialty shops, including shoe shops if you need some new snow boots, boutiques, art galleries, bath goods, and there is even a chocolate shop or two. If you are looking for a fur shop, head to the Chateau Whistler Hotel at the Blackcomb base.

Grocery Shopping

The IGA supermarket at Market Place (North Village 4330 Northlands Blvd) is massive and offers a vast range of groceries. In Whistler Village there’s a medium sized grocery store, The Grocery Store (4211 Village Square), with an adjacent liquor store. In Creekside Village is the aptly named Creekside Market (305-2071 Lake Placid Road), and Upper Village (Blackcomb base) also has a supermarket.

Most of the grocery stores also have a delivery service in case you have an attack of the lazies and don’t want to leave your condo!
